G.E.M (Going the Extra Mile) Awards 2026 - Terms and Conditions

Thank you for nominating your colleagues for the G.E.M Awards. By making the nomination you agree to the following terms and conditions: 

  1. Nominations will only be accepted for those that have met the award criteria within 2026 and fall into the following categories: 
    • NHSP Bank Members who have a My:Bank profile 
    • Doctors Direct doctors who have a NHSP:Connect profile 
    • Bank Members completing the HCSWD programme or doctors completing any Gateway for Doctors programme 
  2. Nominations for the awards will open at 9am on Friday 30th October 2026 and close on Sunday 6th December 2026 at 23:59 GMT. Judging will take place from 20 January – 28th January 2027. 
  3. Winners will be announced to the relevant onsite NHS Professionals or Doctors Direct team on 8th February 2027, and, in this message, we will ask for the team to confirm if they would like us to send the prize directly to the Bank Member using the address on their My:Bank profile, or to the Trust to present in person. NHS Professionals will not be liable for any loss of delivery. 
  4. It is the responsibility of the Bank Member or Doctors Direct colleague to ensure their contact details, including email address and postal address, are up to date on their My:Bank or NHSP:Connect profile.
  5. Prizes will be dispatched and awarded before 6th March 2027. 
  6. When a nomination is submitted, details of the nomination may be published, including the Trust name and nomination.
  7. Non-NHS Professionals Bank Members, Non-Doctors Direct colleagues, incomplete, self-nominations and nominations of less than 5 words will be excluded from the campaign and from any final list submitted to the judges.
  8. A Digital G.E.M certificate will be sent to all valid nominees to tell them they were nominated for the G.E.M Awards.
  9. We have the right to share your name with the onsite Trust team if they ask who nominated the winner at their Trust. These details will not be published online unless you agreed to this when completing the nomination form.
  10. There will be up to 1 main winner per participating Client Trust. Each winner will receive a £100 Amazon e-voucher, Cadbury’s chocolate selection gift box, G.E.M Award winner pin badge, winner's lanyard and certificate to celebrate their achievement over the past year. 
  11. Cadbury’s chocolate selection gift boxes will contain: 1  x Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Bar 110g, Cadbury Double Deck Selection box 524.5g which includes full size bars: 1 x Cadbury Dairy Milk  Chocolate Bar 110g, 1 x Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Bar 45g, 1x Cadbury Dairy Milk with Caramel Chocolate Bar 45g, 1 x Cadbury Dairy Milk with Fruit & Nut Chocolate Bar 49g, 1 x Cadbury Crunchie Chocolate Bar 40g, 1 x Cadbury Twirl Chocolate Bar 43g, 1 x Cadbury Flake Chocolate Bar 32g, 1 x Cadbury Curly Wurly Chocolate Bar 21.5g, 1 x Cadbury Wispa Chocolate Bar 36g, 1 x Cadbury Boost Chocolate Bar 48.5g, 1 x Cadbury Double Decker Chocolate Bar 54.5g.
  12. NHS Professionals has the right to disqualify any nomination not made in accordance with these terms and conditions. There is no prize or cash alternative and no element of the prize is transferable. 
  13. If the product or any of the items are not available at the time of ordering, NHS Professionals reserve the right to replace with a similar product of equal or greater value. 
  14. The Promoter is NHS Professionals. Registered office: Breakspear Park, Breakspear Way, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4TZ. 
  15. The personal details supplied to NHS Professionals will be used only for the purpose of administering this campaign and for marketing purposes by NHS Professionals. They will not be passed to any third party except where required to fulfil the prize to the winners.
  16. Winners' first names and Trust names can be obtained by emailing communications@nhsprofessionals.nhs.uk.
  17. These awards are covered by English law.
