Wards Covered: Riverbank – Paediatric Ward & A&E Paediatrics’

Pay Rates: Days: £15.66 Saturdays/Nights: £20.35 Sunday/Bank Hols: £25.05

The Role:

Here at NHS Professionals, we are currently looking to recruit Bank Paediatric Nurse to join our team and help to support Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. We have both flexible working and long-term opportunities available to support the Paediatrics team at Worcester Royal Hospital.

We have flexible Bank shifts and long-term placement opportunities available for Paediatric Nurses available at Worcestershire Acute Trust specifically in the following wards and areas:

  • A&E/ED
  • Paediatrics

We also run enhanced rates during certain periods, e.g. Winter Incentive, Additional capacity bonus

Skills/Responsibilities

To apply for this post, you will:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months paid experience at Band 5 level on a children’s ward in a hospital environment within the last 2 years.
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
  • Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual.
  • Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients.
  • Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies
  • Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.
  • Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards.
  • Undertake regular mandatory training.
  • Significant proven knowledge and experience in children and young people’s nursing.
