We have amazing job vacancies for Mental Health Nurses all over the Northwest of England.

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients in a variety of settings including alcohol and drug disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders, learning disabilities, anxiety/panic attacks, bi-polar, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

You will receive a starting annual salary of £25,147. This will rise to £28,407 after you have successfully completed your OSCE exam and become a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

We have full-time job vacancies for the following roles:

 

  • Registered Nurses to work for the NHS at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
  • Registered Mental Health Nurses to work for the NHS at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

You will receive a starting annual salary of £22,816. This will rise to £28,407 after you have successfully completed your OSCE exam and become a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Some duties may involve:
  • Building relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns.
  • Ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment.
  • Preparing and participating in group and/or one-to-one therapy sessions, both individually and with other health professionals.

You will receive a starting annual salary of £22,816. This will rise to £28,407 after you have successfully completed your OSCE exam and become a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
As a Nurse, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing a safe, effective, and efficient care environment for patients.
Some duties may involve:
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, attending to hygiene requirements, and assisting with hydration and feeding needs.
  • Complete tasks such as preparing patients for operations, treating wounds, and monitoring pulse, blood pressure and temperature.
The duties of a registered Nurse may vary, depending on experience and place of work.

Our job vacancies

We have Nurse vacancies at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in the following hospitals:

The Alexandra Hospital in Redditch was opened in 1985. It serves a population of approximately 200,000 and has over 300 beds.

The hospital is the major centre for the county’s urology service. The hospital has eight operating theatres, MRI and CT scanners and cancer unit status for breast, lung, urology, gynaecology, and colorectal cancers.

There is a multi-disciplinary education centre with library, teaching and study areas. 

Kidderminster Hospital houses the Kidderminster Treatment Centre which offers outstanding clinical facilities and patient accommodation for a wide range of day case, short stay, and inpatient procedures.

The hospital sees around 130,000 out-patients a year. Six hundred staff are based at the Hospital and over 70 Consultants visit the hospital providing out-patient and in-patient services.

Other facilities at the Kidderminster site include a full range of outpatient clinics – including outpatient cancer treatment in the Millbrook Suite – MRI and CT scanners and a renal dialysis unit.

There is also a modern education centre with seminar rooms, IT suite, library and break out areas.

Worcestershire Royal Hospital is the latest of our three sites. The main hospital was opened in 2002 and has 500 beds and serves a population of more than 550,000. It provides specialist services for the whole of Worcestershire including stroke services and cardiac stenting.

The state-of-the-art Worcestershire Oncology Centre opened in January 2015, providing radiotherapy services for cancer patients, the first time these services have been available in the county.

The hospital has nine operating theatres including four laminar theatres. It has a level 2 neonatal intensive care unit and a cardiac catheterisation laboratory. The 24/7 Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PPCI) service began in October 2013.
