Four more years: staffing contract renewed with NHS Professionals by The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust
NHS Professionals (NHSP) has secured the renewal of its staffing contract with The Mid Yorkshire (MY) Teaching NHS Trust for another four years.
Through the renewed agreement, NHSP will continue to support the Trust by providing a cost‑effective and sustainable Bank workforce, helping to minimise reliance on external agency staffing while maintaining safe, high‑quality patient care.
NHSP manages a broad range of staff groups for the Trust, including Nursing, Allied Health Professionals, Healthcare Support Workers, Admin and Clerical roles, and Estates and Facilities.
Over the course of the partnership, NHSP has worked closely the MY team to strengthen the Bank and deliver measurable workforce improvements, supporting operational resilience across services.
Key outcomes from the partnership include:
- Almost complete eradication of external agency use over the previous contract term.
- More than 700,000 Bank hours worked each year, supporting continuity of care.
- Over 2,000 active Bank Members, reflecting sustained growth of the Trust’s flexible workforce.
