Working Shifts at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust

 

Before working your first shift at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, please read the following information and ensure you have completed any additional training if required.

 

IT System Access

If you require system access for your role this will need to be requested by a Trust Manager. Upon attending your first shift, please speak to the Manager in charge who will be able to make arrangements for your access.

Clinical Systems for Registered Nurses

Registered Nurses will need to complete EPMA and Patientrack training prior to booking shifts. Follow the steps below to complete these trainings:

  1. Click on this link https://moodle.stockport.nhs.uk to complete and submit your Moodle Access Request Form which will be processed by Trust IT:
    • Weekdays 8.00am- 5.00pm
    • Weekends & Bank Holidays 8.00am – 8.00pm
    • The IT Team can be contacted during these hours on 0161 419 4710 if you have any questions.
  2. Once access has been granted you will be able to complete the training modules via the link above.
  3. On completion of e learning, you will be prompted to complete an e-learning completion form which advises the System Administrators that a user account needs to be created. Systems Administrators for EPMA and Patientrack, will check your NMC PIN Number against the NMC Register before an account is created. 
  4. You will receive an email once your account has been created. To activate your account you will be prompted to contact the Systems Administrator and obtain your login and password details. Contact details for System Administrator:
    • Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm - 0161 419 4759/4506
    • Out of Hours: Contact iBleep Co-ordinators (Patientrack) via the hospital switchboard and EPMA on call via switchboard (EPMA) 
  5. For EPMA, on completing e learning you are required to print off a competency form. This will need to be signed by Trust nurse or pharmacist after witnessing 2 drugs rounds to confirm that you are competent in using EPMA. On completion, send the signed forms to stockport.nursing@stockport.nhs.uk.

NB: For EPMA - if an account has not been accessed during the previous month, it will be suspended.  Individuals will need to contact the System Administrator to re-activate the account.

Transport & Parking

Park & Ride

A park and ride is located in Hazel Grove, Macclesfield Road SK7 6BF (end of the 192 stop) with spaces for cars and bikes. Linking Stockport and Manchester city centre, the route will stop at:

  • Stepping Hill
  • Heaviley
  • Stockport
  • Heaton Chapel
  • Levenshulme
  • Longsight
  • Ardwick

Staff Car Park Pass

Bank Members may be eligible for a Staff Car Pass. To find out if you are eligible contact the Trust’s Travel Office located off the main hospital corridor in the Rowan Suite on 0161 419 5032
Opening times: Mon-Fri 8:30-4:00pm. 

Bus or Train

There is a frequent bus service which brings you into the hospital grounds from all surrounding areas. There are also reliable local train services available. The closest stations are:

  • Woodsmoor (5 minutes walk)
  • Hazel Grove (15 minutes walk)
  • Stockport (35 minutes walk)
