We currently have a unique and exciting opportunity within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust which will allow the successful candidates to gain regular shifts and valuable experience within a unique mental health environment. We have a Long-Term Placement opportunity available at Elmleigh, providing you with the chance to work regular shifts for a guaranteed period of time!

Location – Bluebird House

Band 6

Day Rate - £19.96 per hour

Night/Sat Rate - £25.95 per hour

Sun/Bank Holiday Rate - £31.93 per hour

Bluebird House is one of six Secure Forensic Mental Health Services for Young People within the NHS. It is a highly specialist purpose-built unit which has an established and dedicated multi-disciplinary team. The service offers 20 secure beds for young people aged 12-18 years of age with highly complex mental health needs and challenging behaviour. We pride ourselves on the way in which we deliver our therapeutic and educational programmes in a safe and secure manner. The key to achieving this is the way in which we establish excellent therapeutic relationships with young people, their families and their carer’s.

NHS Professionals, working in conjunction with Southern Health NHS Foundation trust are seeking qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses to join the bank. NHS Professionals works in partnership with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust to provide their temporary staffing requirements.

You will be offered a full induction, training and development opportunities and a fully flexible approach to hours – full or part time.

  • Have good communication skills and demonstrate evidence of team working
  • Be able to take direction and instruction and be honest and trustworthy
