Attend an Interview
As part of your application, once we have received your CV, you will be invited to a professional, competency-based interview where you will be asked questions which aim to find out how you have used specific skills in your previous experience/role and how you approached problems, tasks and challenges.

Our top tips for interview
Before the Interview
- Make sure you have uploaded your identity documents via Trust ID. Click here for more information on how to do this.
- Prepare some examples of scenarios and your experience to help with discussions
- Ensure you fully understand the role you are applying for
- Ensure you are familiar with the NHS Values
On the day
- If your interview is virtual, find a quiet room without distractions and prepare ahead of the start time to make sure your technology is working
- If your interview is face-to-face, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get to the interview
- Dress appropriately
- Have your ID ready for your ID check
During the Interview
- Try to relax
- Be honest with your interviewer
- Take your time when answering questions
- Ask the interviewer to re-phrase the question if you are unsure what they have asked
- Ask any questions you have
